「本日は本当にお忙しい中お集まりいただきまして、誠にありがとうございます。今日はアンドレス イニエスタ選手が、FCバルセロナから神戸に移籍することになりましたことをご報告・発表させていただきます。
アンドレス イニエスタ選手といえば、2010年南アフリカのワールドカップで、スペイン代表が初優勝を決めた時の奇跡的なゴールを鮮明に覚えていらっしゃる方が多いのではないでしょうか。そして2015年からは、FCバルセロナでキャプテンを務め、昨年はクラブ史上初の生涯契約を結んだ世界的なトッププレーヤーでございます。バルサは「カンテラ」と呼ばれる下部組織を持ち、そこで若手を手厚く育成してきた伝統があります。イニエスタ選手はカンテラ出身で、そこから世界トッププレーヤーになりました。先程飛行機の中で話しておりますと、今カンテラの中でも「ラ・マシア」という寮出身のプレーヤーはイニエスタ選手のみということで、まさしくバルセロナの保守本流と言えるのではないでしょうか。
ヴィッセル神戸にとっては、彼のキャプテンとしてチームを率いてきた哲学や、バルサの持つDNAが注入されるような大きな刺激になると思っております。イニエスタ選手には単にチームの力の向上だけではなく、ユース年代向けのアカデミーへのメソッド導入を含め、次世代への育成に大変大きく期待しております。
また、世界最高峰のプレースタイルと技術を日々実際に目の前で見ることができる、それはヴィッセル神戸にとどまらず日本サッカー界に大きなインパクトを与えてくれると思っています。またアジア全体のサッカーにも影響を与えるものではないかと思っております。新・ヴィッセル神戸として、アジアNo.1クラブになることを本気で目指していきたいと思っております。
そして彼はサッカープレーヤーとしてだけではなく、現在7,400万人ものSNSフォロワー数を誇り、世界的にも大変強い発信力・影響力があります。世界から日本サッカーが注目を集めることになっていくのではないでしょうか。Ｊリーグ全体が世界から注目を浴びることができるような仕掛けもどんどん作っていければと思っております。

Opening speech by Mikitani
" I am very pleased to announce today that Andres Iniesta will be signing up to play with Vissel Kobe, after his historic career at FC Barcelona.
Iniesta is a top global player. Many of us here today will recall Iniesta’s astounding goal in the finals of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa that brought Spain its first title in the tournament. Since 2015, Iniesta has also led FC Barcelona as captain, and last year he was the first player in the club’s history to sign a lifetime contract with the club.
FC Barcelona has a unique youth league system known as the “cantera” in which young players are nurtured and raised. Iniesta himself is from the “cantera,” “La Masia,” and from there he has become a top player on the international football stage since he started his professional career in 2002.
I am confident that Iniesta’s leadership philosophy and his Barca DNA will be a terrific inspiration for not only Vissel Kobe but also all over Japanese football society.
We look forward to Andres Iniesta not only strengthening the team’s performance but also contributing to the development of the next generation of players through the introduction of the Iniesta Methodology to the youth academy.
Also, by giving fans and players the chance to see Iniesta’s world-class play style, we believe his decision to come to Japan will have a major impact not just on Vissel Kobe, but on football in Japan and Asia. As “A New Vissel Kobe,” we will give our all to achieve our goal of the becoming the No. 1 club in Asia.
Iniesta is also a global influencer, with an enormous presence on social media with around 74million followers. His arrival in Japan will raise the profile of Japanese football globally, and we are working on activities to leverage his presence here and promote the J.League worldwide.
I believe sports have the power to bring joy and excitement to people and society. Sports can also transcend cultural barriers and national borders and unite us. Teams and players have the power to inspire us with their performance, their hard work and dedication. This is why we have supported sports throughout our history at Rakuten, with the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles, Vissel Kobe, the Rakuten Japan Open, and our partnerships with FC Barcelona and the Golden State Warriors.

Hopefully I would like to help the process that the J.League gets more popular in Asia.
I’m really looking forward to getting to know my team mate and playing with them.

Q；現在の日本サッカーをどのように考えていますか

「私は日本のサッカーをとてもリスペクトしています。日本のプレーヤーについてもそうです。日本の選手は技術が高く、よく考えてプレーしますし、コンビネーションもよく使います。Ｊリーグについても、日本代表についてもよく知っています。とてもレベルの高い選手が多いと思っています。
私は、自分のチームを助けるために、自分のサッカーをお見せするために日本へ来ました。そうすることで、このクラブや日本サッカーがより発展することを祈っています」

「アンドレス イニエスタという世界でもっとも美しいプレーをするだけでなく、世界で最も尊敬されているサッカープレーヤーがＪリーグでプレーをするということは、単に１プレーヤーが入るということだけではなくて、イニエスタという一滴がＪリーグ全体に大きな影響を与える、そしてそれが翻って日本のサッカーに大きな影響を与えるのではないかと思っています。Ｊリーグが世界の人たちが見たいというリーグになり、イニエスタ以外の現役有名選手が日本でプレーしたいということもトレンドとして起こると思いますし、若い選手が刺激されるだけでなく、子どもたちがサッカーをやってみたいという憧れ、夢が出てくることも期待して、今回我々も思い切ってやらせていただきました」
Q；How do you think of current Japanese football scene?
Iniesta
"I respect highly of Japanese football scene. And I respect Japanese football players. Japanese players are smart and quite good on the ball. Also, they are good at using combination plays.
I know very well about J.League and Japanese national team as well. They have very high-level players. Many of them are playing at the high-level. I came to Japan to contribute my team and show my style of play to everyone. By doing that effort, I would like to contribute to make further development for my club and Japanese football scene."

"Andres Iniesta plays the most beautiful football in the world. And not only that but also, he is a most respected football player in the world. And he is going to play for J.League. That is not just one foreign player joining to the J.League. It means more. A drop of Mr. Iniesta will give a huge impact to not only J.League but also a whole Japanese football scene. Through such injection, I hope that J.League will grow and catch a world-wide attention. Also, I expect that many other top-level foreign players, like Iniesta, will also start thinking to play in the J.League like as a trend.
And I believe that this project will help to stimulate not just younger players. But also, this makes children to have a motivation to play football and have a dream.
That is why we decided to make this happen."

「幸運なことに色々なオファーがありました。私に関心を持ってくれた他のクラブにも感謝申し上げたいと思います。私がヴィッセル神戸に決めた理由は、提示されたプロジェクトがとても興味深いものだったからです。人として、選手として、私を信頼してくれたことが大きかったです。
先程も言いましたが、日本は素晴らしい国だと思います。日本の文化も素晴らしいです。出来るだけ早く日本に慣れて活躍したいと思っています。日本での生活を楽しみながらプレーも楽しみ、早くチームの一員になりたいと思います」
Q；You had many other options. But why did you choose Japan and Vissel Kobe?

" Well. Fortunately I received many offers. There were many other clubs who shows interest in me, so I would like to thank them as well. Reason why I decided to sing Vissel Kobe is because of the project Vissel Kobe presented to me was very interesting.
I felt that Vissel Kobe has a lot of trust and confidence in me as a person and as a player. That was a big reason. As I mentioned before, Japan is a great country. Japanese culture is also great. So as soon as possible, I would like to get used to Japan. So that I can play well. I would like to enjoy my life and football life in Japan. I would like to be a good member of the team."

「全部です。日本の方たちもとても好きです。ただ一番重要なのは、とにかく文化に溶け込むことだと思います。ですから、皆さんと同じような国民の一員になりたいです。私の家族もそうです。祖国の文化とは違いますが、できるだけこの文化の一部になりたいと思っています」
Q；What do you like about Japan?

"Everything. I love Japanese people as well.
But the most important thing is that I just need to immerse myself into Japanese culture.
I would like to be a member of Japanese public. My family also feels in same way. Japanese culture is different from my own country. But I would like to be part of this culture."
