At Vissel Kobe, we aim to be a club that brings happiness to everyone involved with Vissel, focusing on three main pillars: “Contributing to the local community through football,” “Improving football skills with a strong local connection,” and “Creating a world-class sports club.”

In addition to the above club philosophy, we uphold the spirit of “Kobe Forever Forward,” which represents our desire for Vissel, as well as the city of Kobe and all its people, to move forever forward without stopping. We will continue to grow together with the city of Kobe.

Origin of the Club’s Name
VICTORY+VESSEL

“Vissel” is a word coined by combining the English words “Victory” and “Vessel.”
It signifies our “setting sail for victory,” symbolizing the international port city of Kobe, and embodies our pledge to be a club that carries the dreams of its citizens and continues to strive for victory.

Club Slogan
THE No.1 CLUB in ASIA 一致団結

We will continue to use “The No.1 Club in Asia—一致団結” as our slogan for the 2024 season.

This phrase, “一致団結,” was dedicated to the club with strong conviction by the late Ryoichi Mikitani, who served as a director of our company, as a core concept. All those involved with Vissel Kobe become one family, the “Vissel Family,” bound by strong ties, and we will continue to walk together with the city of Kobe towards the same dream.

The emblem, a symbol of our fighting spirit, is a fusion of tradition and innovation. It combines our traditional black and white stripes and the new logotype within a shape inspired by Mount Rokko, the symbol of Kobe. It symbolizes the team’s spirit of embarking on new challenges towards realizing further dreams and hopes, while carrying the pride of our history.

This logotype aims to promote a new sports culture, made possible by being a team from Kobe, a city with an image of being international, advanced, cultural, unique, multifaceted, historical, fashionable, and modern.

We will keep the excitement of football fresh, going beyond the traditional boundaries of the sport to be embraced by all citizens, not just football fans. We aim to establish ourselves as a “brand” that fashionably integrates with the city.
