本日のトレーニングはピッチコンディション不良で、場所を移しての練習となりました。通常のアップの後に、チームでのボールの動かし方、ディフェンスの仕方のレクチャーをフアンマ監督、イニーゴコーチから受けていました。
戦術トレーニングが中心だったため、中身は明かせませんが、実戦を意識した形となりました。

練習後の監督のインタビューでは、「キャンプにおいてメジャーリーグサッカーの強い相手とやれたこと」、「試合の中でボールを支配し、押し込める時間帯ができていること」、「ケガ人なくキャンプを終えられそうなこと」を収穫として話していました。昨年継続してきたことを土台に、新しいことを積み上げようとしている最中です。新しい選手やレンタル復帰の選手もいる中で、チームの成熟度合いを高めるには、選手同士のコミュニケーションが重要になってきます。

明日は、残念ながら試合が中止になり、別施設でのトレーニングになります。天候はコントロールできないので、仕方ありませんが、できることは全てやり、日本に帰って来たいところです。

With poor pitch conditions plaguing the team, the training session of the day had to be moved to a different field. After warming up, head coach Juan Manuel Lillo and assistant coach Inigo Dominguez lectured the team on how to move the ball and the proper ways to defend. The remainder of training consisted primarily of tactical aspects.

In an interview after training, Lillo mentioned the ability to play against quality MLS competition, learning to control a match will ball possession, and the lack of injured players as the success factors of the camp. With the return of loaned out players and the addition of new signings, this team is in the process of building on the positive aspects of the previous season. Communication will be key as this team matures going forward.

Unfortunately, tomorrow’s preseason match has been canceled as a result of poor pitch conditions. While the weather remains out of control for the players, a good preparation for the new season is still within the means of what can be accomplished.
