2003

Another Relegation Fight and Financial Problems.Crimson Football Club Take Over

Vissel Kobe Inc. made an official announcement of its transfer of business based on the Civil Rehabilitation Law on December 15, 2003. Crimson Football Inc. reached an agreement and finalized a contract with on January 14, 2004 after public bidding to determine new ownership of the club.
Kobe Wing Stadium became the new home stadium, and the team tried to maintain its strong defensive style and consolidate its attacking power.
However, Vissel suffered with injuries to key players such as Watada, Tsuchiya, and Saeki during the first phase of the season, and the team suffered in defensive, conceding 63 goals over the season, which was the worst record of the 2003 J.League.
While Bismark and Kang-Jo Park joined the squad in mid-course of the season and showed some good performances, it was a tough and painful season for Vissel.
