2日のトロントFC戦に続き、5日のオレンジカウンティSCとのプレシーズンマッチも天候不良及びピッチコンディションの回復が見込めないため開催中止に。これを受けアメリカツアー最終日は、LAギャラクシーと、30分×4本の練習試合を行いました。LAギャラクシーのキャプテンを務めるのは元スウェーデン代表の大型ストライカー、FWイブラヒモビッチ。ヴィッセル神戸も1本目はイニエスタ、ビジャ、ポドルスキの3人が揃って先発を飾り、豪華な顔ぶれの競演となりました。

とはいえ、試合内容の方は、コンディション悪のピッチに終始、苦しめられる展開に。攻撃の勢いも影を潜めるなど理想とするサッカーはまだまだ志半ばといった印象。トータルスコアも1-4で試合を終えました。

これでクラブ史上初となるアメリカツアーの全日程が終了。チームは本日夜にアメリカを出発し帰国の途につきます。以下、アメリカツアーを終えた選手のコメントをお届けします。

Poor pitch conditions due to heavy rainfall caused the cancellation of preseason matches against Toronto FC (February 2nd) and Orange County SC (February 5th). A last-minute scrimmage was arranged as a result between Vissel Kobe and LA Galaxy, with proceeds of the 4x30minute encounter going to the LA Galaxy Foundation. The first scrimmage featured LA’s famous striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, while Vissel began with David Vila, Andres Iniesta, and Lukas Podolski all in the lineup.

The scrimmage itself was a difficult one for Vissel, with a wet pitch not making things any easier. With a final result of 1-4, the desired football of head coach Juan Manuel Lillo is still in the process of being attained.

This marks the end of the first ever USA tour for the club. The team will depart later in the night and arrive back in Kobe in the early hours of the following morning. The player reactions are below:

■ルーカス ポドルスキ
僕やダビド（ビジャ）、アンドレス（イニエスタ）はこれまで数多くの海外での経験を積んできましたが、クラブとしては初めての海外ツアーで、ましてや海外でのプレー経験が少ない日本人選手にとっては目新しく、とても貴重な経験になったと思います。その中ではピッチの内外でそれぞれに多くの学びを得ることができたはずですが、大事なのは学んだことをチームとして共有し、チームの基盤をより強くするための力に変えていくことです。いい経験をした、で終わってしまうのではなく、収穫として得たものをしっかりと今後の練習の中で高めていきたいと思います。

Lukas Podolski
Players like myself, David [Villa], and Andres [Iniesta] have experience with playing all over the globe. But for many of the Japanese players on the team, who have not played outside of Japan much, I think this was a very important experience. I think we had plenty to learn both on and off the pitch as a team. We have to take what we learned in order to develop as a team. We do not want to simply leave it at having had a good experience, but instead take the things we experienced and work on them to improve further.

今回のアメリカツアーでは、とても満足のいく時間を送ることができました。クラブとしても初めてのチャレンジだったと聞いていますが、多くの方に必要なサポートを受けることができましたし、ピッチ内外でスポーツ的にも、興行的にも、コマーシャル的にもいいツアーになったと感じています。また個人的にもプレシーズンをいい感触で過ごせています。もちろん、今の時期は結構、体に負荷をかけ、そのあとしっかりリカバリーをして、という繰り返しの中で毎日を過ごしているため、全ての時間を良い状態で過ごせるわけではありませんが、感触としてはとてもいいものを得ています。ただ、大事なのは開幕のセレッソ大阪戦です。今後もそこに向けて個人、チームとして良い準備を続けていきたいと思います。

David Villa
This has been a very fulfilling tour of the United States. I heard it was a first for the club, but I think it was a success in terms of our work on the pitch as well as from a commercial perspective. I personally feel that I am preparing well this preseason. This is a period in which you put the body under physical pressure. Recovery is also important so we must work hard and rest, on repeat. I think we gained an interesting perspective here, but our focus remains on the season opener against Cerezo Osaka. Both from a personal standpoint and from a team standpoint, we have to continue to prepare well.

■田中順也
アメリカでは日本ではなかなか戦うチャンスのないレベルのチームと戦うことができましたし、環境も…後半は雨が続いて、最終日のピッチコンディションも劣悪でしたが、そういう状況もなかなか経験できないことなので。個人的には抜群の環境でいい経験ができたと感じています。戦った3試合のうち、いずれも結果が出なかったのは残念ですが、今はまだ気にする時期ではないし、我慢も必要だと思います。プレシーズンで何回も負けていたとしてもJリーグが始まったら勝ち続けるチームもありますしね。ただ、そのためには足りないところを選手同士でも話さなければいけないし、監督に全てを任せたのでは成長できないはずなので。ここから先の時間で、負けた要因を選手間で共有しながらやっていければ、いいチームになっていくと思います。

Junya Tanaka
We were able to play against interesting competition we usually do not have a chance to encounter. The weather was not ideal towards the end, but it was an experience nonetheless. I personally feel that it was a great location to prepare for the season. A bit of a sour taste remains in that we were not able to get a positive result in our three preseason matches, but I think it is too early to start worrying. There have been teams in the past that lost in the preseason and then went on to have a very successful season. Right now we have to talk about the things we can improve on. It cannot be all on the coach. The players have to come together and work towards a common goal. I think that is how we will become a good team.

■大崎玲央
今回のアメリカツアーは、日本を離れ、知らない土地で、そしてみんなで一緒に時間を過ごした中で、新しく加入した選手も含めてピッチ内はもちろん、ピッチ外でも関係を深められる時間になったし、チームとしてもすごくいい経験になったと思います。一方、サッカーの内容というところでは、試合では2試合負けてしまいましたし、突き詰めていかなければいけない部分もたくさんあると感じています。ただ、プレシーズンなので悲観することはないし、ポジティブにいろんなことを受け止めながら、開幕までにチームとしてしっかりと突き詰めていきたいと思います。

Leo Osaki
Spending this preseason tour in a faraway land was a great opportunity to bond as a team and incorporate the new players both on and off the pitch. As to the football, it was a shame that we lost two matches but I think it shows we still have aspects to work on. It is still only the preseason so there is no need for a panic button. We need to stay positive. There is still time to fully prepare for the start of the season.

■前川黛也
悪天候による試合の中止とか、イレギュラーのことも起きましたが、シーズン初めのチームを作っていく大事な時期に、新加入のメンバーも含めて多くの時間を共有し、試合を戦うことができてすごく良い時間になりました。試合ではうまくいかないことの方が多かったですが、開幕してから悪い部分が露呈するより、今のうちにいろんな悪い部分を出してみんなで共有したほうがいいと思うし、個人的にはたくさんの収穫を得られたと感じています。帰国後は沖縄キャンプもありますし、開幕までの時間の中で選手同士がしっかりと話し合って、よりよい準備をしていきたいと思います。また僕自身も、ヴィッセル神戸のサッカーの構築のためにしっかりチームの力になれるようなパフォーマンスを意識していきたいと思います。

Daiya Maekawa
We did experience some irregularities resulting from bad weather, but it was an important period to grow as a team. I look at the difficulties in the preseason matches as good things because we do not want to realize them once the season has already started. Right now there is time to fix what is wrong. I was able to take in many good things during this time. We still have a second training camp in Okinawa where we have plenty of time to bond as a team. I personally want to become a serviceable player that helps Vissel Kobe achieve its goals.
